Author Registration Requirement

At least one author of each accepted paper was required to register by the final submission deadline of August 30, 2019. Author registrations were processed at the full (non-student) rate to cover paper inclusion in the proceedings and IEEE Xplore.

Student Travel Support

Travel grants were available for full-time students whose accepted work was presented at BioCAS 2019. Eligible students could request reimbursement of travel expenses through the conference's student travel support program, subject to available funds and verification of enrollment status.

Registration tiers for the symposium were organized around professional affiliation and the nature of attendance, allowing participants to select a category that matched their status as an IEEE member, a non-member professional, or a student researcher. The structure acknowledged the contribution of long-standing members of the engineering community by offering reduced options for those recognized as life members, while also providing flexible day-rate attendance for visitors wishing to join specific sessions without committing to the full program. Accepted contributions depended on at least one author completing a full registration, a standard practice in the conference circuit that helps ensure each paper is represented at the event. This arrangement balanced accessibility for emerging scholars with the operational needs of the organizers, supporting a diverse audience drawn from biomedical circuits, intelligent healthcare systems, and related disciplines converging in Nara for the gathering.

Payment Methods

Registration payments were processed online through the conference registration system. Accepted methods included major credit cards and, where applicable, bank transfer. Receipts and confirmation emails were issued automatically upon successful payment.

On-Site Registration
